Overview:
Opuwo Country Lodge is a luxurious and eco-friendly lodge located in the beautiful Opuwo area of Namibia. It offers visitors an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, and the unique cultural touch of the Himba people. The lodge is located close to Etosha National Park, making it the ideal base to explore the diverse range of flora, fauna, and minerals in the region.

The lodge offers luxurious and comfortable accommodation for guests in spacious and well-appointed chalets, ensuring that visitors can relax in absolute comfort. Fauna:
The Kaokoveld region, where Opuwo Country Lodge is located, boasts diverse and unique animal species, including desert elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and more. Birdlife is also abundant in the area, and visitors can spot some of the rarest species such as the sociable weaver, Bateleur eagle, and more. Reptiles are also a common sight in the region, including puff adders, meringue’s adders, and more.
Flora:
The area around Opuwo Country Lodge is home to various plant species, including the shepherd's tree, mopane tree, and the distinctive baobab tree. The region is also renowned for its stunning desert landscapes, which include rocky mountains and vast expanses of desert.
Minerals:
The Kaokoveld region is home to various mineral deposits, including copper, zinc, lead, fluorspar, and lithium. Visitors can learn more about the mineral resources in the region by taking a tour of the mines, including the Kombat Mine, Skorpion Zinc Mine, Khusib Springs Mine, and Okorusu Mine.
Major Rivers:
The region is home to several small rivers and streams, including the Kunene River which flows along the border with Angola. Other notable rivers include the Hoarusib River and the Hoanib River, both of which provide important drinking water sources for animals in the region.
